In this hilarious valentine to show tunes and show people, a forgotten Jazz Age musical comes to life in the living room of a die-hard theatre fan. As he eagerly spins his favorite cast album, a bubbly vintage show suddenly appears, exploding with song, dance, and merriment. Our quirky narrator fills the plot holes, with laugh-out-loud results. Winner of five Tony Awards, The Drowsy Chaperone is packed with show-stopping numbers and larger-than-life characters, adding up to one zany musical comedy!
Content Advisory: Recommended for ages 12+. This light-hearted spoof of 1920s musicals contains some adult humor including sexual innuendo and jokes regarding drinking and alcoholism. (There is no official rating system for live theatre. We encourage you to use your judgment based on your child's age and maturity level.)
PLEASE NOTE: The Arts Council of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County is requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR lab test result from 72 hours prior to the scheduled event you wish to attend in order to enter their venues for patrons over 18 years of age.
